Sora Kasugano is the main female protagonist and the twin sister of Haruka Kasugano. Sora is a very beautiful white-skinned young girl who has a perfect, doll-like appearance and is often seen as a fragile and weak girl with long silver hair that is tied in twintails and gray eyes. Whenever she goes to school or some other places she often uses this twintail hairstyle. She usually unties her hair once at home.

Haruka and Sora Kasugano are coming home, to a place filled with memories. Having lost their parents in a tragic car accident, the twins resolve to return to the countryside and start life anew at their grandfather's house, the haunt a constant reminder of moments from their past. It is a warm welcome, symbolic of the days that should come. Their peace is merely ephemeral, however, as suppressed emotions, born from vows both newfound and forgotten, start exerting their influence on the twins' new lives. And deep down, a dark secret, only known to them, begins to unshackle. Based on the visual novel by Sphere, Yosuga no Sora not only explores the power of lost memories and true love when the bonds of many become intertwined, but also raises the questions of morality and social acceptance.

A few years ago I watched Usagi Drop after blasting through Gurren Lagann , two shows that have fundamentally different tones. This recent viewing was purely inspired by my exposure to Domestic Girlfriend, a show in which a young male is entangled in love triangle involving his step-sisters. This lead me to Yosuga no Sora, a series that proves there are no stones left unturned in pushing the limits of any relationship and while its not as emotionally potent as Domestic , its captivating in its own unique manner. During this transitional period, Haru encounters various female classmates and faces unexpected challenges in connecting with them. Romantic visual novel adaptations usually involve a male protagonist where he must choose his partner-to-be from a harem.
